IFAWPCA Convention 2009

The IFAWPCA convention will be held at Hotel Radisson today with a set of recommendations for the construction sector of IFAWPCA member countries focusing the convention’s theme ‘Construction for a Greener World’.
IFAWPCA represents the fraternity of builders in 16 countries — Australia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Maldives, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Constructors from Myanmar are attending the convention as observers.

The three-day convention, hosted by Bangladesh Association of Construction Industry (BACI) that ended on Saturday were participated by 270 construction experts and entrepreneurs including 220 foreigners from its 16 member countries.

The leaders of BACI, the local member of IFAWPCA, hoped that Bangladesh would witness huge volume of foreign investment in the construction sector as a follow up of this high level convention.
